piracy
Mood:  chillin'
Piracy is a world known problem that the I.T. markets of the world are facing today. From Microsoft to Softalk all the companies whether big or small are facing the problems related to piracy. It is vary common that people buy software or a game or anything and make various copies of it and sell it in the market. The main reasons why a commoner buys a pirated C.D. or a pirated floppy is that he wants to that the cost of a pirated floppy or a pirated C.D. is nothing when compared to an original one. This also promotes piracy and this further leads to heavy loss of the companies from which the software or the game is pirated for e.g. Microsoft products are known all over the world and a standard C.D. that costs around $29.99 is easily available for $2 to $3 each. Agreeing to the fact that the products bought from the companies are quality products and come with a warranty but a common man always thinks of his benefits and to be precise who doesn’t. Buying a single product from a company and costs approximately fifteen times than buying a pirated product so who wouldn’t want to go for such a deal. I think the only solution to this problem is that the companies should reduce the rates of their products and make them easily available in places al over the world. I think this would really enhance the I.T. sector in a major way. To start selling their products companies have to start taking initiatives on compromising on the cost of their products and not on the quality of the product. The companies don’t decrease the prices because they think it would cause them loses but well talking about loses according to my point of view and my studies the companies won’t face any loses as such because of the fact that if they reduce the price of their product their net sales will increase and this would lead to net profit and not net loss. Finally this would lead to decrease in piracy and might also be able to finish it.
